Scan a card. Then let your AI run the follow-up.
NexaLink scans business cards into your CRM — then connects to ChatGPT or Claude so you can ask “who did I scan today, and draft a follow-up to each.” The only scanner with a native MCP connector. Connect in a minute — no API keys.
Scan a card, then run the follow-up from your AI
NexaLink's scanner reads a paper business card and drops a clean contact straight into your CRM — name, title, company, email, phone, even a voice note on where you met. The new part: that CRM speaks MCP (Model Context Protocol), the open standard ChatGPT and Claude use to call external apps. So after the event you don't open a dashboard — you ask your assistant: "Who did I scan today? Draft a follow-up to each." NexaLink is the only business-card scanner with a native MCP connector.
Why this beats a scanner that just digitizes cards
Scanning is the easy 10%. The 90% that wins deals is following up — and that's where paper (and most scanner apps) fail: 88% of business cards are thrown away within a week, and 80% of sales need five or more follow-ups while 44% of reps quit after one. A scanner that only makes a list you never reopen doesn't fix that. NexaLink turns each scan into a tracked contact with a reminder, and lets your AI assistant surface who's due and write the message — so the follow-up actually happens.
What you can do from chat (on your own AI plan)
The whole post-event loop, in plain language. Recall: "Pull everyone I scanned at SaaStr." Triage: "Who am I due to follow up with this week?" Act: "Draft a follow-up to Priya referencing our booth chat" or "Add a note + remind me Tuesday." It runs on your own ChatGPT or Claude subscription (bring-your-own-AI) — there are no NexaLink AI credits to run out.
Connecting an AI to your contacts — safely
The connector is built so the assistant can only ever do what you could do, as you, with your explicit approval.
It acts as you — and only you
The connector runs strictly as your own account, scoped to your own scanned contacts. It can never see or touch another user's data. Server-side ownership checks treat the AI as untrusted input.
OAuth, not your password
You connect over OAuth 2.1 (PKCE) and approve access on a NexaLink screen — the assistant never sees your password. Access tokens are short-lived and audience-bound; refresh tokens rotate with theft detection; tokens are stored only as hashes.
Read-only by default, you approve writes
Most tools are read-only. In Claude you set per-tool permissions — keep "add/edit contact" on "needs approval." Revoke the whole connection anytime from Settings → Connected apps; access stops immediately.
Your data stays portable
Export to CSV/vCard anytime, or one-way sync to Salesforce. Nothing is locked in, and connecting an AI assistant doesn't change that.

Frequently asked questions
- Do I need API keys or a client secret to connect?
- No. You paste one URL (https://nexalink.co/api/mcp) and leave the OAuth fields blank — NexaLink registers your client automatically via OAuth Dynamic Client Registration. Then you just sign in and approve.
- Is it secure? Can it see my password or other people's data?
- It connects over OAuth, never your password, and runs strictly as your own account — it can't reach anyone else's data. Tokens are short-lived, audience-bound, and stored only as hashes, and you can revoke access anytime. Most tools are read-only and you approve writes per-tool.
- Do I need to pay for a NexaLink AI plan?
- No — it's bring-your-own-AI. The connector runs on your own ChatGPT or Claude subscription, so there are no NexaLink AI credits to run out.
- Will my scanned cards show up on the web app too?
- Yes. Scan on your phone and the contact is instantly in your CRM on web, in the connector, and in any CRM you sync to — it's one account across phone, web, and chat.
- Which assistants work?
- Any MCP-compatible client — ChatGPT and Claude today, plus Cursor/Claude Desktop via the mcp-remote bridge. Connect once, then run your scans by chat.
- How is this different from CamCard?
- CamCard digitizes cards into a list. NexaLink adds follow-up reminders, voice notes, export/Salesforce sync, and — uniquely — lets your AI assistant run the follow-up for you through a native MCP connector.
