CRM App - AI Features
NexaLink CRM uses AI to help you maintain relationships without the mental overhead of tracking who you need to contact and when. From follow-up suggestions to message drafting, the AI acts as your personal networking assistant.
AI Follow-Up Suggestions
The AI monitors your contacts and surfaces those who need attention in your opportunity feed.
How the AI Decides Who Needs Attention
The AI considers multiple signals:
- Time decay: How long since your last interaction with the contact
- Relationship pattern: Your typical communication frequency with that person
- Contact priority: Favorites and tagged high-priority contacts get earlier suggestions
- Contextual triggers: Upcoming events, birthdays, or milestones
- Interaction reciprocity: Whether the contact has been reaching out to you
What You See
Each suggestion appears as a card in your opportunity feed:
- Contact name and photo
- Reason for the suggestion (e.g., "Last contacted 3 weeks ago" or "Met at CES - no follow-up yet")
- Suggested action (e.g., "Send a check-in message" or "Share that article you discussed")
- One-tap actions: Draft Message, Remind Me Later, Dismiss
Acting on Suggestions
- Tap Draft Message to let the AI compose a follow-up (uses 2 AI credits)
- Tap Remind Me Later to snooze the suggestion for 1 day, 3 days, or 1 week
- Tap Dismiss to clear the suggestion; the contact will surface again later based on normal criteria
AI Message Drafting
Available on Pro and Premium plans.
The AI drafts personalized follow-up messages based on your relationship history.
How It Works
- From a follow-up suggestion or any contact profile, tap Draft Message
- The AI generates a message considering:
- How you met (from the "How We Met" field)
- Your last conversation topics (from notes and voice note transcriptions)
- The reason for follow-up
- Your communication style (learned from past messages if Gmail is connected)
- Review the draft and edit as needed
- Send via your preferred channel (email, LinkedIn, SMS) or copy to clipboard
Example Draft
Hi Sarah,
Great meeting you at the TechCrunch panel last week. I have been thinking about what you said regarding API-first architectures -- really resonated with our current roadmap.
Would you be up for a quick coffee chat next week to continue the conversation?
Best,
[Your Name]

- "Write a thank-you note to the speakers from last week's event"

Below the chat input, pre-built action buttons provide one-tap access to common queries:
- "Who needs follow-up?" - Shows contacts due for outreach

FAQ
Q: Does the AI read my emails?
A: Only if you connect Gmail integration. The AI analyzes email metadata (subject lines, timestamps, recipients) and content to understand your communication patterns. All processing is done securely and data is never shared.
Q: Can I disable AI suggestions?
A: Yes. Go to Settings > AI Features and toggle off individual features. You can disable suggestions while keeping message drafting, for example.
Q: How does the AI learn my communication style?
A: Through Gmail integration, the AI studies your sent messages to match your tone, greeting style, and sign-off preferences. Without Gmail connected, it uses a neutral professional tone.
Q: Are my voice notes stored securely?
A: Yes. Voice notes are encrypted at rest and in transit. They are stored in your private account and never used to train AI models.
Q: What happens when I run out of AI credits?
A: AI features pause until credits reset. You can still access all contacts, notes, and manual features. Alternatively, purchase a credit pack or upgrade your plan.
