Card Page Guide
Everything you need to know about your public card page -- what visitors see, how to share it, and how to make it work for you.
What Is Your Card Page?
Your card page is a public web page that displays your digital business card to anyone who visits it. Think of it as your online business card that works on any device, any browser, without requiring an app download.
Every NexaLink card gets a unique URL:
https://nexalink.co/card/{userId}/{slug}For example: https://nexalink.co/card/abc123/alex-rivera
Premium users can also set up a custom domain like card.alexrivera.com (see the Custom Domain Guide for setup instructions).
What Visitors See
When someone opens your card page, they see a full-screen card with your professional information:
- Profile Photo -- Your avatar image displayed in a circular frame with a subtle border.
- Name -- Your full name, prominently displayed.
- Title and Company -- Your job title and company name appear below your name.
- Department -- If set, your department is shown in smaller text.
- Company Logo -- If uploaded, your company logo displays in a white badge.
- Address -- Your business address, if provided.
- Contact Actions -- Tap-to-call (phone), tap-to-email, and website link buttons.
- Social Links -- Icons for LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook, GitHub, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Save Contact -- A large button that downloads your vCard (.vcf) file.
- Share and QR Code -- Buttons to share the page link or display a scannable QR code.
- AI Assistant -- A floating chat bubble (Pro+ plans) that lets visitors ask about you.
Sharing Your Card Page URL
There are several ways to share your card page:
- Direct link -- Copy your card URL and paste it into messages, emails, or social bios.
- QR code -- Open the NexaLink Card app and share your QR code. Visitors can also generate a QR code directly on your card page by tapping the "QR Code" button.
- NFC -- Pro users can write their card URL to an NFC tag. Tap the tag with a phone to open your card instantly.
- Email signature -- Add your card URL to your email signature line.
- Social media -- Post your link on LinkedIn, Twitter, or Instagram bio.
Tip: When sharing in person, the QR code is the fastest method. The visitor just points their camera and the page opens immediately.
QR Code on the Card Page
Your card page includes a built-in QR code feature. When a visitor taps the "QR Code" button, a white panel expands showing a high-resolution QR code that encodes your card page URL. This is useful when:
- A visitor wants to share your card with someone nearby.
- You are showing your card on one device and want to open it on another.
- You want to save the card page link without typing the URL.
The QR code uses error correction level "H" (high), meaning it remains scannable even if partially obscured.
Analytics: Who Viewed Your Card
Every time someone visits your card page, NexaLink records the view. You can see these analytics in the NexaLink Card app:
- Total views -- How many times your card page has been opened.
- Contact saves -- How many visitors tapped "Save Contact" to download your vCard.
- Referrer -- Where visitors came from (direct link, social media, QR scan, etc.).
- Device info -- Whether visitors used mobile or desktop.
Analytics data is available for the last 7 days on the free plan, 30/90 days on Pro, and up to 365 days on Premium.
Note: Analytics track aggregate data. NexaLink does not collect personal information about visitors unless they voluntarily provide it (for example, by entering their email in the AI assistant chat).
Customizing Your Card Page Appearance
Your card page appearance is controlled by the template and colors you set in the NexaLink Card app:
- Primary color -- Sets the background gradient start color and the accent color for buttons.
- Secondary color -- Sets the gradient end color.
- Background image -- If you upload a background image, it replaces the gradient entirely.
- Avatar -- Your profile photo displayed in a circular frame.
- Company logo -- Shown in a white rounded badge below your title.
Changes you make in the app are reflected on your card page immediately. There is no separate "publish" step.
Tip: Choose colors that contrast well with white text, since all card page text is white. Dark or medium-toned backgrounds work best.
Mobile vs Desktop Experience
Your card page is fully responsive:
- Mobile -- The card fills the screen vertically. Social icons and action buttons stack naturally. The AI assistant opens as a bottom sheet covering 70% of the screen.
- Desktop -- The card is centered in a max-width container (448px). The AI assistant opens as a floating panel in the bottom-right corner (380px wide, 520px tall).
Both experiences include the same features: profile info, contact actions, social links, Save Contact, Share, QR Code, and AI assistant.
"Powered by NexaLink" Footer
By default, your card page shows a small "Powered by NexaLink" footer at the bottom. This footer links to nexalink.co.
- Free plan -- The footer is always visible.
- Pro plan -- The footer is always visible.
- Premium plan -- The footer is hidden automatically. Your card page appears fully white-labeled with no NexaLink branding.
If you want to remove the footer, upgrade to the Premium plan in the NexaLink Card app under Settings.
Tips for an Effective Card Page
- Upload a professional photo -- Cards with photos get significantly more contact saves.
- Keep your title concise -- "VP of Engineering at Acme Corp" is better than a paragraph.
- Add at least 2-3 social links -- Visitors expect to find you on LinkedIn at minimum.
- Choose a memorable slug -- Your card URL slug (e.g.,
alex-rivera) should be easy to type and share. - Test your card -- Open your card page URL in an incognito browser to see exactly what visitors experience.
- Share broadly -- Add your card URL to your email signature, LinkedIn bio, and conference badge.
