Premium Features
This guide covers the advanced features available on Pro and Premium plans. Each section notes which plan is required.
Custom Domain (Premium)
Use your own domain name instead of card.nexalink.com for your card URLs.
Setup
- Go to Settings > Custom Domain.
- Enter your domain (e.g.,
card.yourcompany.com). - Tap Verify Domain. The app displays a DNS record you need to create.
DNS Configuration
Add the following CNAME record with your domain registrar or DNS provider:
| Type | Name | Value | TTL |
|---|---|---|---|
| CNAME | card (or your chosen subdomain) | custom.nexalink.com | 300 |
Common DNS providers and where to add the record:
- Cloudflare: DNS > Records > Add Record
- GoDaddy: DNS Management > Add New Record
- Namecheap: Advanced DNS > Add New Record
- Google Domains: DNS > Custom Records
Verification
- After adding the DNS record, return to the app and tap Check DNS.
- DNS propagation typically takes 5-30 minutes but can take up to 48 hours in rare cases.
- Once verified, a green checkmark appears and your custom domain is active.
Multi-Card Routing
If you have multiple cards, they are accessible under your custom domain:
| URL | Card |
|---|---|
card.yourcompany.com | Your default card |
card.yourcompany.com/1 | Second card |
card.yourcompany.com/sales | Card with slug "sales" |
To set a custom slug for a card, go to the card editor, tap Advanced, and enter a slug. Slugs must be lowercase, alphanumeric, and unique within your account.
Remove Branding (Premium)
By default, all cards display a small "Made with NexaLink" footer at the bottom of the card page.
How to Remove
- Go to Settings > Branding.
- Toggle off Show NexaLink Footer.
- The change applies to all your cards immediately.
This is useful for professionals and businesses that want a clean, unbranded appearance for client-facing cards.
Email Signature (Premium)
Generate an HTML email signature that links to your NexaLink card.
How to Generate
- Open your card and tap the three-dot menu.
- Select Email Signature.
- The app generates an HTML signature block containing:
- Your name and title
- Your company name
- Your phone number and email (as clickable links)
- A small "View my card" button linking to your card URL
- Your avatar (hosted on NexaLink CDN)
- Tap Copy HTML to copy the signature to your clipboard.
Adding to Email Clients
Gmail
- Open Gmail on desktop.
- Go to Settings (gear icon) > See all settings > General.
- Scroll to the Signature section.
- Click + Create new.
- In the signature editor, click the three-dot overflow menu and select Paste as HTML (or paste and the formatting should be preserved).
- Scroll down and click Save Changes.
Outlook (Desktop)
- Go to File > Options > Mail > Signatures.
- Click New and name the signature.
- In the Edit Signature box, paste the HTML. If formatting is lost, use the source editor or paste into the plain text field.
- Click OK.
Apple Mail
- Go to Mail > Settings > Signatures.
- Select your email account and click + to create a new signature.
- Open the copied HTML in a browser (paste into the address bar or a local HTML file), select all the rendered content, copy it, and paste into the Apple Mail signature field.
- Close Settings. The signature is saved automatically.
Signature Updates
The signature links to your card URL, so when you update your card, anyone who clicks the link sees the latest version. However, the static text in the signature (name, title) does not auto-update. Regenerate and re-paste the signature if you change those fields.
NFC Sharing (Pro and Premium)
Write your card URL to an NFC tag for tap-to-share.
Setup
- Purchase compatible NFC tags. Recommended types:
- NTAG213: 144 bytes, sufficient for a card URL, lowest cost.
- NTAG215: 504 bytes, good for longer custom domain URLs.
- NTAG216: 888 bytes, maximum capacity.
- Open your card in the app and tap NFC in the action bar.
- Tap Write to Tag and hold your phone near the tag.
- Wait for the success vibration and confirmation message.
Compatible Tags
NFC tags are available in various form factors:
| Form Factor | Best For |
|---|---|
| Sticker (round, 25mm) | Phone case, laptop lid, notebook cover |
| Card-shaped (85x54mm) | Handing out like a traditional business card |
| Wristband | Conferences and events |
| Key fob | Keychain attachment |
| Pop socket mount | Attached to phone grip |
Tags are rewritable, so you can update them if you change your card URL.
Troubleshooting
- iPhone not detecting tag: Ensure NFC is not restricted in Screen Time settings. Hold the top edge of the phone directly against the tag.
- Android not detecting tag: Enable NFC in system settings (Settings > Connected devices > NFC). Hold the center-back of the phone against the tag.
- Write failed: The tag may be locked (read-only) or damaged. Try a new tag.
AI Bio Generation (Pro and Premium)
Automatically generate a professional biography for your card.
How It Works
The AI reads the information you have entered on your card (name, title, company, social links) and generates a bio that matches your selected style. No external data sources are used.
Styles
| Style | Tone | Length | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| Professional | Third-person, formal | 2-3 sentences | "Sarah Chen is a product design lead at Stripe with 8 years of experience building payment interfaces." |
| Creative | First-person, conversational | 2-3 sentences | "I turn complex fintech problems into intuitive experiences. Currently leading product design at Stripe." |
| Minimal | Neutral, concise | 1 sentence | "Product design lead at Stripe." |
Editing the Generated Bio
After generation, the bio appears in the text field as editable text. You can:
- Modify any word or sentence.
- Regenerate with a different style by tapping the AI icon again.
- Clear the field and write your own bio manually.
The AI generation does not overwrite a manually written bio unless you explicitly tap Generate.
Advanced Analytics (Premium)
Premium subscribers get deeper insight into how their cards are performing.
Device Types
See a breakdown of card views by device:
- iPhone: iOS Safari and other browsers
- Android: Chrome, Samsung Internet, and other browsers
- Desktop: Windows, macOS, and Linux browsers
- Tablet: iPad and Android tablets
Locations
View card views by geographic region (city and country), derived from IP geolocation. This helps you understand where your network is concentrated.
Referrers
See which websites or apps drove traffic to your card:
- Direct: Someone typed or pasted your URL
- LinkedIn: Clicked from your LinkedIn profile or post
- Twitter/X: Clicked from a tweet
- Email: Clicked from an email client
- Other: Any other referrer
This data helps you identify which channels drive the most engagement so you can focus your sharing efforts.
FAQ
Q: Can I use a root domain (e.g., yourcompany.com) instead of a subdomain?
A: Custom domains require a CNAME record, which is only supported on subdomains. Use a subdomain like card.yourcompany.com or me.yourcompany.com.
Q: Does removing branding affect existing QR codes?
A: No. QR codes point to your card URL, which is unchanged. The branding removal only affects the card page footer.
Q: How many NFC tags can I write?
A: There is no limit. You can write your card URL to as many tags as you own.
Q: Is the AI bio stored on your servers?
A: The generated text is stored as part of your card data, the same as any manually written bio. The AI model does not retain your data after generation.
Q: Can I use custom domain with NFC tags?
A: Yes. After setting up your custom domain, rewrite your NFC tags with the new URL so they point to your custom domain.
